My name is Zoe Eckhart. I am a 22 year old  multimedia sculptor from Louisville, Kentucky. In my studies I have been able to explore a large variety of mediums including woodworking, metalworking, ceramics, painting, weaving, mold making, installation work, and even had the opportunity to study fresco painting during a semester abroad in Italy. The core of my artistic practice revolves around the current landscape of American politics and how citizens of the world process world events in a fast-paced news cycle. My process utilizes the existing prominence of iconography and modification through heavy-handed symbolism. I take great pride in creating artwork that acts as a commentary and believe it is of great importance to continue the conversation between art and the world around it.
